Went to fix my modern flute last autumn actually. The technician's studio happens to located in Cockpit Arts, where the art organisation turned an old shabby shoe factory into a nest of studios and workshops for clothes and jewellery designers or shoe makers (hand-made of course!)
Normally they are just quiet workshops but arrange as market on open day for public visitors (ticket 5 pounds per person! but as I was coming to fix the flute so it's free!! hehehehehe!)
So many pretty jewellery (can't afford any of course....) and lots of fun!!
